As I wind
Through the forest
Vibrant leaves of yellow
Red and orange scatter
Themselves about the trail
Lush moss wraps itself
Around logs and trees
Whose roots
Sprawl like a cobweb
Beneath my feet
The spawning of winter
Is near
Cold invites crisp
Rousing my senses
